It is late August and the season is about to change. The sun is setting earlier and the shadows are getting longer. Shadows are part of my most recent inspiration in my ongoing personal project. I enjoy how they add to the idea of not telling a story but providing enough components that the viewer can decide on their own what is happening and whether or not they like the picture. This picture was taken near the end of the day in front of the Bronx Criminal Courts in the Bronx, NY. I immediately noticed the shadows cast on the wall and wanted to see if an interesting character would populate the area not occupied by the shadows. I really liked what happened here. The person reminded me of an old movie I had once seen. It has been a busy couple of months and I can now catch up.
